Individual Counselling

Cognitive Behaviour Therapy

Individual counselling is a form of therapy where the psychologist and the client, on a one to one basis, pursue, through conversation and dialogue, the establishment of a relationship of mutual trust and understanding, in the course of which they search solutions for any problem of difficulty faced by the client. Individual counselling allows therapist and client to focus on each other and to collaborate for the client’s improvement in any aspect of life.

Cognitive Behavior Therapy is a form of individual therapy which purports to transform negative thoughts and feelings into positive ones through the use of various techniques. CBT focuses on ‘here and now’, namely on the current issues of a person and aims to offer relief as soon as possible. Its duration is shorter than other forms of individual therapy and is quite popular because it offers immediate solutions, while the client is free to explore his/her past whenever this is necessary and relevant.
